I have a BR bayonet in a CR scabbard, both dated Slovak 1940. It seems that most, if not all, of the AR-YR Romanian contract rifles were made in 1940. VZ24 Romanian Contract Dates Romanian contract, 1940. I know the 'R' is for Romanian, but can anyone tell. The crest and year of manufacture are both ground off. I have a Czech VZ24 serial number TR 18569. Here's a picture of my 1940 'Russian capture' VZ.24 8mm Czech rifle (Mauser type '98 action). New today Czech vz24 bolt #19853 Rifle #yr14275 Thanks. 4732F1 = the serial number vz24 as before.
